Another Spongy Brake Problem Thread
My 88 4runner had the notorius spongy brakes. Replaced pads and shoes, cylinders on rear, master cylinder, etc. Bled several times and had the master cylinder rod adjusted. Better but not solved.
Did notice that when we were bleeding the LSPV that every time we pushed the brake pedal, the LSPV rod would move. All I can figure is that it may be bad. Its all that left. We clamped off the rear line and the brake pedal was fine. It seems it has to be in the rear.
Does anybody else notice the LSPV rod move when the push the pedal? It could be bad and I just need to replace it.
Any help appreciated.
