How many ounces are you guys using when you RE-OIL your Amsoil air filter?

I've seen some use 1 ounce, and some more.

I don't want to worry about my MAF. I also ahve dekplate mod.

Hboss says 1 ounce, BOB 98sr5's article says 2-3 ounces.

Amsoil's site itself says to use 2-3 oz.
I've used 2-3 with no problems. 1 seems a bit bare to me...

How do you guys make the oil spread all over the filter, 1-3 ozs doesn't seem like enough to cover it all.

Th oil spreads pretty well. With just 1 oz you'll feel like you've spread out a pretty good amount. When you get up to 3 oz. pre-blot the filter looks VERY oily

I've never really measured. I just use enough to get adequate coverage, then dab the filter with a paper towel to spread out the oil as much as possible. I have the same bottle for years. My MAFS has always been good.

get a big freezer bag or a garbage bag and oil the filter then put it in the bag and you can squish it around just fine without getting your hands all dirty

I use latex gloves so I can manipulate and knead the filter foam more thoroughly. The freezer bag is a good idea though
