Howdy guys,

I was looking over 4x4wire.com's Tacoma/4Runner Maintainence section, and noticed on their picture of a 3.4 V6, there is an extra hose connecting the airbox with what I assume is the charcoal canister (line runs right above the #9 in the pic). The engine they show is a supercharged version; I do not have the hose in question, there is a little plastic arm sticking out from one of the resonator boxes that would fit this hose perfectly.

Is this hose just on supercharged engines, or should I have it too??

Could the lack of this hose be causing a strong, heavy exhaust smell (because it is bypassing some part of the emmissions system?)??

if your talking about the long hose that runs from the air filter box to the other side of the engine its for your evap and yes you should have one
