Alloy wheel fitment
Has anyone fitted a set of Lexus LX450 alloys to a 3rd gen. They are 16x8's.
How do they fit the 3rd gen, do they clear the calipers ok. My rig has the bigger rotors, (came with 16" wheels standard)
This is the style of alloy...

I bet they would fit. I know there has been at least one member running the Land Cruiser wheels that are pretty similar to that. If anything, the rotors and calipers would probably be bigger on the LX than on our 4Runners. Double check on the backspacing of the wheel, if it is more that 4.5 inches, you will most likely have problems.

There is a guy on here named Jack (I can't remember is username), but he is running the LC wheels that are the exact same. The only problem I think he ended up having was some minor rubbing with 285/75's. I think he eventually went back to 265/75's when it was all said and done.
**EDIT** I found one of the links here
***EDIT EDIT** Upon further research I found his username. It is Jacksilb.
Check it out and see what you think. Personally I like the look of them.

Hey Jonathan,
Thanks for finding that info for me. I'll mail Jack and see what he has to say. I got a good deal on the alloys so I've bought them.
Cheers...

Sorry to bring up the old thread, but I've been looking at the FZJ80 and LX450 wheels too. The pic at the top is off a landcruiser FZJ80. The LX450's wheels look like this:
The Lexus wheels always cost more but I think they look pretty good.
I'm pretty sure that both (FZJ80 and LX450) are 16x8 w/4.25" backspacing. It should give a wider stance with more clearance between the caliper. What I really want to know is if the toyota center caps fit in the lexus wheels?
