So,how well do our alignments hold up to off roading? Do you notice alignment problems after hard off roading and do you guys have "punch" cards at the local alignment shop?

I was messing around on a small short steep (about 20ft high) slope in this field behind a grocery store here (private property but it'll soon be a strip mall or worse) and I hit it with some speed and hit a little indent at the very top and it sent the front tires off the ground (some youngsters were watching and were impressed ) and came down kinda hard (all the change flew out of my ashtray) and now I'm a little paranoid about my alignment since it's only a couple weeks old.

it usually does pretty well, but if you're doing hard off-roading, i would check it every 6 months or so. Most shops offer a free recheck within 3-6 months when you pay for an alignment. i wouldn't worry about it too much unless you came down at a weird angle or something, or unless your rig has started to pull to one side when driving down the road.

I guess I'll see when I get out on the highway to work tonite;I also should look into a lifetime thing since it would pay itself off easily in a couple years.

The only way that your alignment will change is if your suspension settles, which it will do over time, or you bend something. Off roading it self will not cause your alignment to be off. You won't typically be able to tell that your alignment is off. What you will notice is that your tires will develop strange wear patterns.
