alarm system

i need some help with my alarm. i just bought the truck recently. it has an alarm but i dont have the key pad for and the previous owner doesnt have it either. everything was fine until my dear old dad decided to unplug the box and now when you plug it back in the alarm goes off. truck will run with out it but i would like to find the key pad. the only thing that i know about this alarm is that it says rebel alarm systems on and accele electronics inc. i tryed searching the net for rebel alarm systems and nothing came up and the i tryed accele electronics inc. and nothing came up that i could use. i dont know if this system came from the factory or what. but if anyone could shed any light on this subject it would be greatly appreciated.

Its not factory if it says Rebel on it. I've never heard of a Rebel alarm and if you can't locate the company then I'm not sure what you can do, you may just have to trash the alarm and start fresh. Atleast you won't be out any initial dough since the alarm was on there when you got the truck.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help, those keypads are kinda handy to keep around. Maybe if the guy that sold it to you was feeling nice, he could help you pay for a new alarm

Call these guys..they helped me find a remote for my (dead anyways) Dealer installed Silencer system.

i have already tryed calling the previous owner and she didnt have the key pad and she wasnt the original owner either. but i will try that web site and see what i can turn up.

Your alarm box may not be working, and thats why you no longer have the remote. It might be easier/cheaper to install a new system alltogher.

thing with the alarm box. i can unplug it from the truck and when i plug it back in. all the bells and whistles go off. and i have no way to shutit off

ya it sucks that there are so many off brand alarm companies

my recommendation

go to any reputable stereo shop and get either a viper or a prestige alarm, those are the big 2 companies and wont be going out of business any time soon.
