Aisins are on!

Well the Aisin's that have been sitting in my garage ready to go on the 4runner are installed and working great. Installation was a breeze thanks to metal22ica and his manual hub install write-up. It took about 1 hour start to finish. Thanks Yotatech for great information (and people) to help in maintaining our rigs.

Maybe it's all in my head, but the front end feels "lighter", steering is easier and acceleration off the line is a bit better. It sure feels good to know that those front CV shafts aren't turning anymore, except when I want them too.

Next up: Downeys and Bils

Let us know if your gas mileage improves Scott. I had a 1.4 MPG improvement but others like Corey haven't noticed any improvements.

Way to go Scott, a very worthwhile mod indeed.

Yes, I saw no improvement in gas mileage, but I do get better acceleration and less noise.

Last Saturday while up at Greenwater I could feel the drag when they were locked in.

I will be tracking the mileage over the next week or so and will let everybody know what effect these hubs have on mileage.

Also, if you would, take a look at a new thread I just posted on odometer correction for larger tires on our trucks. We may have more miles on our trucks than we think!
