Aisin who can tell me what these parts are

OK I got some Aisin hubs off ebay to do the ADD to Manual conversion. I got the hubs all cleaned up and painted just need to get new gaskets and then they are going on.

MY QUESTION
These parts were in with the hubs nuts and bolts I am not sure what they are used for or if I need them. The hubs appear to have all the parts from that PDF file that is all over the place. They also seem to function properly. Can anyone tell me what these parts are used for???

If I'm not wrong aren't those just extra? I don't think you need them as long as you've got the snap ring that goes on the back of the hub body. As far as I can remember that snap ring and one other on the inside of the dial were the only two snap rings in the hubs. If you've got those two already in place then you shouldn't need the parts pictured.

those are for a solid front axle toyota 4x4.
Install the hub housing. but not the cap.
You should see the axle stub sticking through the middle of the hub. It should have a little play in and out. You put the washer over the end of the stub axle. The c clip thing goes in the groove to keep it from pulling too far out (towards the center of the truck)

IFS trucks use a large washer and bolt that go into the stub.

Those are the snap rings and washers to hold the axel in place in the hubs, for trucks that are equiped that way. My truck in the Haynes manual is supposed to have them, but I have a bolt and washer that goes into the end of the axel and holds it on.

What year is yours? and did your ADD have the bolt an washer in the end of the axel. If so then those parts aren't needed.

Exclamation Here is a pic with the hub off.

I just changed my wheel bearings out and luckily took a few pics! This is a shot of the axle with the hub pulled off. The washer slides over the spline which is attached to the CV joint, then the clip goes over and keeps it all from pushing back through. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/saabbo...07.jpg&.src=ph

My rig has the bolt/washer also. You have to take it out in order to get the lock portion of the hub off. I used my Hendrix motorsports hub puller that I later found of was really made for solid axles to pull my manual hubs. When I started to crank on it the snap ring popped and the CV started pushing in rather than the hub pulling off. I called Hendrix to ask WTF? They told me that is a problem and that they need to put that info on the web site that they were sorry! I used the hub puller to beat my hubs off which worked OK!

LoL Glad to hear your Hub puller doubles as a BFH. You should call them back and tell them too put that info on there website!!!!

OK so what I am getting is that those parts are used in Solid Axle setups correct? After reading the replies I immediatly went and checked the Spline count on the hubs thinking they were for Solid Axle but there are 26 splines so I got the correct hub. Sweet I think I am set then. Thanks for all the quick replies you guys rock!!!!
