Air Intake

ok so ive seen all the pics of ppl who swapped thier battery and intake, my question is wont the shorter pipe length from the filter mess with the engine, i've heard that the factories length is best and that the volume before the TB, has to be 130 percent of what is after. i dont know if this is true im just wondering. Also my UNI filter was lost by UPS and i was refunded my money, anybody know of a place that sells them in the U.S.?

the shorter pipe could change the engine stuff, but really, as long as the afm is working right... there shouldnt really be a problem.....

I did the batt/intake swap and I am noticing some pinging (2-3 months later). My Truck has probally always done this just i coulnt hear it because now i have no steering shaft seal, and my shiftboot isnt on all the way. I probally just have my timing advanced a bit to far. Just somthing for you to think about.
