Aftermarket bumpers
I'm talking about the ones that are direct replacements for OEM. Since my truck sees only pavement, I'm not looking at anything special, but my original chrome front bumper has rot holes in it, and my rear is missing altogether. I have heard that the aftermarket chrome bumpers peel in short order, and it's better to buy the black ones and paint them to your liking. The latter would work for me, because I paint cars for a living, but I'd like to keep the OEM look with the chrome. Any experience with these?

I bought an aftermarket replacement front along with the valence a few years back. Both were made by the same Taiwanese company, but did not fit together well. They also did not have good fitment to the frame. After one winter, surface rust began to appear. I can't recommend them.
