after downey HD rear coil install on '94 4runner
I am new to the forum. I have been doing alot of research on a "94 4runner.
I have really enjoyed this site! I just installed my downey HD rear coils and after install my rear brakes seemed to be rubbing slightly. I just had a full brake job done @ a month ago, new rotors, new pads, new shoes and new rear calipers (one was leaking). I had them install the flex line since they were going to have to bleed the brakes anyway. The rear brakes were adjusted at the time of the brake job. Everything was working smoothly until the rear coil install. Everything is still working properly, though now there is an intermitent rubbing noise coming from the rear brakes. As I brake it goes away. Without brakes you can hear it. Since I already had the flex line installed, I didn't see a need to undo the four bolts that attach the brakeline to the axle. There was plenty of flex in the new line and nothing was binding up when moved around. I followed the directions very carefully (except the four bolts on the axle). Just wondering if the recent brake job and the moving of the proportioning vavle would cause this, or did I mess anything up by not removing the four bolts to the axle? Should I readjust the rear brakes? Any suggestions would help ease my mind.
