I'LL TAKE IT!
Love my '95. I'd take another in good condition. But look for rust, check the VIN with the dealer to see if it qualified for the headgasket recall or if it was made after they got it right and if it's an automatic expect 15mpg. If it's a manual, you can get it up to about 19 mpg if you don't mess with the oversize tires or gears. Keep some money in the bank for when the 3.0 V6 does go...which it will do. The 3vze is one of the most expensive engines to overhaul correctly. Keep your rpms below 4500 though and the engine will last a long time. 200K+. Comparing the 2nd gen and the 3rd gens...2nd are more solid, ride less comfortable on the road, more noisy, get worse mileage, slower, fewer engine mod parts, but are a great vehicle all the same.

This old gal has gotten me out into the field, and back for 8 years, never failed to start or gotten stuck. |
