Adjustable coilovers for 96 4runners ???

Hi I just bought my 96 4runner Sr5 2wd and i wanna do something with the suspention. The only thing i found was the revtec or the cornfed 3inch lift. Then i found these coil adjusters http://www.truckn-store.com/product....search=4runner but i am unsure of how good they are. Does anyone know what size tire you can fit with them and what other parts you need for the lift. Has anyone used them? Also if you know of anyother lifts for my truck let me know. THANKS

We have a 0"-3" adjustable lift from downey, & our 4-runner is 4wd. but they have them for 2-wd's...

What kind of lift are you looking for? Searching would be great to start as there are many different types of suspension setups that you can use.

Here's a few to begin with (bigger name companies):
Spacers -
Cornfed
Daystar
Donahoe Racing
Revtek
Coil and Shock -
Downey
Performance Progressive
OME
Coilovers -
Camburg
Donahoe Racing
Fabtech
King Shocks
Sway A Way

Heck there's even a thread on using Tundra coils!

I'm sure I'm missing a few out there.. sorry just too much to choose from. The best way would be how much lift you want and what your goal is in terms of what kind of offroading you plan on doing. Depending on how you plan to use your 4runner, there will be an appropriate suspension setup for it. Last, what's your budget?

The very best adjustable coil over is the Donhoe Racing one.

The second best is the SAW. If you want a set of SAWs let me know. I have a set looking for a new home.

I want to be able to fit 33s or 35s and its for on road use only. If i can i would like to have a wide stance with a smooth ride and a low chance of rolling my truck. I no its alot to ask but tell me your ideas

Have had my Donahoe's for about 6 months now and would recommend them if you have the extra $.
I went from stock to Performance Products springs and Bilstien's (2years) to my new Donahoe's.
I don't have any experience with any other set-up than the two mentioned, but Donahoe's are everything they were made out to be.

If you're interesting going with that custom tundra setup, you'll have to consult with that thread on the part numbers as well as the costs for each item needed. It's pretty comprehensive in terms of all the detailed information Andy has provided so check out his post there.

As for the rear, you might want to look into some nice OME rear shock and coil combo which has high praise from alot of users. Search for posts on OME and I'm sure you'll find a wealth of info.

back to the aim coilovers, i called them today they said u can raise it to 2 inches and after that you would need some custom control arms, anyone know about this or used this setup?

btw, I've never heard of AIM coilovers. As for custom control arms, I'm suspecting they are referring to the upper control arms. This item is actually pretty expensive depending on which manufacturer you go with. Also this item is not actually required when lifting your 4runner.

If budget is a major concern, I'd suggest the easiest is to go with the spacer stuff by daystar, revtek or cornfed (the latter one I like the most).

If you can spring for abit more (but not much more than the spacer setup), look into the thread I linked for you. It has the setup for the front and rear with all the detailed information on how much lift you get. It sounds abit confusing at first but it's definitely worth reading as you really don't want to get a cheap suspension setup and then find out they're crap.
