Adding red factory door lamps

Adding red factory door lamps
My 91 did not come with these lamps but I got them off of a 94. My question is, can I tap the wiring into the door dwitch that turns on my overhead lamps to run my red door lamps? I dont want to overpower the switch but want to add these to my rig.
