ADD solenoids?
Here i think is the ADD solenoids
They were located on the inner fender of my driver side. Can anybody confirm this, and does anybody know which one (red or black) is the solenoid that causes the ADD system to lock up?
I am trying to figure a way up to do a 2lo mod, for the people with j-shift knobs, not no push button 4wd. I am figuring putting a switch to interupt the the solenoid, so when you put it in 2lo the ADD is disengaged, and you have 2lo.
I am figuring using a simple spst switch (on/off). I am wondering if you interupt the original signal to lock it up and then uninterrupted it will the ADD solenoid still activate it?
I am thinking either that or using a dpdt switch (on/off/on) momentary. And set it up so you push one way the add locks up, and when you push it the other way the add is disengaged. Of course make it all easy to conver the whole thing back to normal.
