Yes it is. You will need to replace your own hubs (really just plates locking the splines) and replace with the hubs. If you are lucky enough to find used AISIN hubs then go to the dealer and replace both gaskets. The best piece of advice I can give you is don't remove the bolts that hold the hub to the wheel assembly - loosen them but leave them on until you get the cone washers loose - that way they aren't flying all over the garage.

Victor is right,
it is very easy. The only concern is getting the cone washers off. Do as Victor suggests and you wont lose any of those cone washers. Check Ebay, that's where I found my hubs. Do a search on this forum and you'll find lots of info. And as always, post questions, everybody's here to help.

The part #s for the gaskets should turn up here also with a search, and if they don't, they are on my website listed in my mods section.

You will need 4 gaskets if you pick up used Aisin hubs.
Easy to tear them down also and there are links on that page with my hubs to an article on how to grease them.

In our Tech section here listed on the main YotaTech index page is an article by Matt on putting on Warn hubs.
The same info can be followed for the Aisin's if you end up with them.

Speakin' of the Aisin hubs, no one here has done a write-up yet on them.

Aisin hub conversion? The bottom line is, if I can do it ANYBODY can! I removed them from the "donor truck", rebuilt them and installed them on my 4Runner. The swap on my 4Runner took me 1.5 hrs. start to finish..... takes longer to rebuild the darn things!!

Corey if I can find a set of Aisin (I'm bidding on some now) then I'll snap pictures and post a writeup.

Sounds good Victor.

If you tear them down and regrease them, a seperate article for that would be great also.
