99' Tacoma fabtech 6" lift Question
My room mate has a 1999 Tacoma with a 6" Fabtech IFS lift. My question is... does anybody besides Fabtech make shocks for it. What companies make the best shock for a six inch lift. It looks just like a standard 96-04 shock but it is about 6" longer. And if Fabtech is the only company that makes them, where is the best place to buy them? Thanks

I know you can buy King and Sway-a-way coilovers which fit the Fabtech lift, but, they are mucho $$... basically they are made for long travel trucks, but, will work since they are really long.
If you're just replacing the shocks, then you're going to have to go to fabtech. I don't know a good place to buy them, but, if you do some searching on the net you'll find them eventually. You can probably contact Fabtech direct and ask them for a local retail shop.

Are you asking what size the shocks are?
easy....get under the truck with a tape measure....measure compression and droop...buy a shock that is the correct length..

ditto on the custom king or saws
are you wanting to put these on your truck? You can have a much better set up with the price of those custom kings or saws, you can get a mid travel set up for that much (adjustable coilovers, and uca's)

Dirtoyboy: I think the problem lies in that the coil is mounted on this shock, and the shock itself is made custom for the lift, so I don't think you can find any replacements.
