99 taco radio

anyone know if the stock radio has pre outputs on it , 99 taco sr5 ex cab v6 trd,or any info on how to remove it ,i started taking it out today but stopped it looks like a lot of work lol,thanks ken

Its really easy. Not sure about the pre outputs-for amps? Off the top of my head I believe tat all you need to do is take out your ashtray and locate the two phillips screws on the roof of the ashtray opening. then remove the knobs on your cold and heat controls, then gently use a knife/flat screw driver to pop the face of the cold/heat controls. Behind the face you will find two more phillip screws-one on the left is hard to find at a 45% angle. From here all that is need is to gently the trim piece from the dash. Note-the trim piece will come off with the two air vents above the cup holder. After you remove the face you will see that removal is extremely easy..remove the four screws connected to the stereo brackets and then pull the stereo out. This whole process takes me less tan 5 minutes-although I have done it a dosen times. Ten to twenty minutes for the first time.

I have upgraded many times to different toyota factory stereo. My most recent is a 05' Scion multi color CD with MP3/WMP capability. Great upgrade!
