99 4runner won't start
just rebuilt my supercharger & re-installed it. bad pulley. now it 4runner won't start. i don't think it's the supercharger. the 4runner sat for 3 months. pulled the intake hose from the air box to the throttle body off, opened throttle, & sprayed some starter fluid into intake. ran for a few seconds. pulled fuel return hose off, with key on, no fuel. if fuel pump in working should gas be circulating back to fuel tank thru return line? i can't here fuel pump running in tank. efi fuse is good. relay marked efi (next to fuse box in engine compartment) clicks when key is installed. turn the key to on, three clicks come from passenger side fender wall. only one click when turned off. are these fuel pump relays? i don't understand three clicks. is one turning off? would check for power at tank, but can't get to it without dropping tank. or at least that's what it looks like. any suggentions.

Try taking a rubber mallet and beat on the tank while someone cranks. Quite often (if it is the fuel pump) that will be enough to get it going, at least for a bit. As far as I am aware you should have fuel coming in the return line. Also you could crack a feed line at the filter and have a bucket waiting to catch fuel. (this way you don't spray fuel all over your engine) Hope this is useful.

located the fuel pump relay under the dash. pulled relay, jumped curciut with key in, fuel pump is running. then pulled fuel return line with pump running, gas is flowing. then tried to start with jumper still running pump. same result. runs for a second or two, then quits. fuel circulating thru rails. can feel injectors clicking when cranking. i'm running out of ideas. anyone, anyone. voodoo 4runner?

no codes. was told some cars have a safety shoot off. in case your in a wreck. it would turn off the fuel. is this only a ford thing? what about the security system. is there a reset for the security? any feedback is greatly appreciated.
