'99 4Runner Starting Issue

Car has been sitting for nearly 8 months, started once or twice in that time. Jumped it and started it. Drove it around for about 5 minutes. Came home, was sleep deprived, brain farted and turned off the car.

Went to start it again and wouldn't turn over. Went to jump it, and the headlights came on and stayed on now matter what I did. Also the airbag light was on. Left the cables on for a bit to "charge" the battery. No love.

So went and got a new battery. Came back, installed. Same problem, minus the headlights staying on. So just airbag lights, nothing else, car won't turn over.

Any ideas?

Check your cables. They should be clean and tight.

I agree make sure you have a good, clean, and rust free ground.
