99 4runner slow to get going in the AM

The last couple of mornings when I leave for work I back out of my drive and put the runner in drive and it doesn't want to go. I can put the gas all the way to the floor and it will just bearly move. I can put in 2nd or low and it takes off fine. Drive a few feet in one of these gears and put it back in drive and everything is fine. Anybody had this problem before? It only has 87, 000 miles and has always been serviced.

I am not trany expert but I would start by checking trany fluid level as well as checking fluid color and smell.
Next step would be pulling trany pan out and cleaning filter (metal mesh).
