98-02 Headlamp conversion

I was reading in someone's profile earlier and they had converted thier 98 4Runner headlamps to the 02 version. I was wondering where I can get the info and what would needed to be changed as far as wiring, bulbs, etc. Thanks.

All you need to do is get lamps from a '99+ and bolt them in. ebay,junkyards are the cheapest but I did find them new here on www.procarparts.com and I think they were under $130 a lamp which is a decent price for new.

yea, its not a different bulb or anything, its a more reflective headlamp casing.

so wiring/etc can remain the same.

It's also a indirect lighting lamp as the bulb sits behind a reflector as opposed to the old style where you can see the bulb plus the lens isn't frosted like the pre '99s.

The whole thing is just a direct swap, you do not need to modify anything at all!! It is much brighter and look sexy!!
