97's rear end is to low
I recently put bilstien shocks on my 97 4Runner. The rear end sits about a inch or 2 lower than the front now. Is there a way to lift the rear end so that its level with the front?
Thanks Jeff

Shocks alone shouldn't have changed ride height. Was your a$$ sagging prior to the shocks? I believe there's a fairly common occurance putting the cup on upside-down on your struts and getting an inch of lift (the downside being the cups weren't design for this, and the longterm reliability isn't there).
I put bilsteins on my ride about 3 months ago and did not have any noticeable changes in ride height (so I'm not speaking from experience, just what I've glanced at here on Yotatech).

Jeff,
The rear sagging on your truck was a common problem known to 4Runners during that year model... These 1" lift springs should be the solution...just to get the vehicle leveled...
here is where to buy them---

I am using them on my truck now and there're great...

Is is possible that you just never looked that close till you had the shock's replaced? There is a Toyota recall on the rear springs, that you may or may not have had done. If you are the orginal owner and have not had it done you can, and it will get rid of your sag. Best part, no cost to you.

Agreed that the PP springs are nice (I put them on all-around). Before shelling out that cash, did you have the spring recall done? That should have kept your rear end up some. My 97 road pretty near level un-loaded. Which brings up the 2nd question, any chance you forgot about a few dead bodies in the back? Or perhaps winter gear?
If you'd like I can go check the orientation of my cups at lunch. (though that doesn't appear to be the problem if there was no issue prior to the mechanic working on the rear)
either way, best of luck

I had my rear springs replaced on the recall for the same year truck. The original ones bottomed out badly but did not let the rear sag. The new ones are the opposite. The rear is noticably lower after a few months of use.
