97 4Runner SR5 (5VZE) Magnaflow 18"-11256

I'll like to share with all of you some pictures and a video of my new Magnaflow exhaust. It is a Maganflow 18", (MAG11256) custom 2.25" cat back new pipes and a Magnaflow double wall exhaust tip (MAG35123). Enjoy!

sounds good-just a little bit of attitude without being obnoxious!

Curious about the water vapor-what is the outdoor temperature roughly as you are starting the truck up?

Are you burning coolant, by chance? There seems to a fair bit of water coming out of the tail pipe at initial start-up. Several times when you revved it, liquid water comes out the pipe. You may be in the early stages of a head gasket fail.

The exhaust sounds good though.

Nope, It was the first start of the day, and it so happens that today we had temperatures in the mid to high 40's and a little rain here in California City Ca. Thanks for the comments!

so does the tip change the sound? I only ask cause I am in the market for a muffler adn dont want to be racy/ricey. I will also not be doing a tip.

will there be much difference and does it change MPG at all?

Nope, The exhaust tip doesn't affect the sound at all, is more for the looks. As far as MPG's, Well I'm no expert but In order to have any noticeable improvements on the mpg's if any, you would need to upgrade both, the stock intake & exhaust system on your truck. By doing this your are allowing your engine to breath easier. Again I'm no expert, somebody else care to expand on this?

The exhaust sounds good though.

Water like that coming out of the exhaust is normal when the exhaust is cold, it is a by-product of the reaction that happens between the exhaust gases and the element in the catalytic converter. Once the exhaust warms up though the water instantly evaporates and you don't see it.

I ordered the muffler & the exhaust tip off of EBAY. I paid $78.00 for the muffler & $45.00 for the tip including shipping. For the install, I had a local muffler shop "AV Muffler shop" in Lancaster Ca to do a custom Catback using 2.25 pipes. So I guess you can say I have a custom catback system for about $233.00 including installation.
