96 Tacoma won't stay running

I have a frustrating issue with my 96 Tacoma, It's a 2X4 and my daughter crashed it on the right side. I fixed the body but now it will only run for 5-7 seconds, then it just shuts off. It has good fuel pressure, all of the sensors are reading correctly and the computer pins out good with power where it should be and feedback where it should be but it still shuts off after 5 seconds. If I rev it up for about 30 seconds, it usually runs good afterwards, including idle and excelleration but the engine light is on. I do not have any of the computer diagnostic equipment but I can check to see if sensors are working or not with my scope. I am at a lodss with this truck, help.

Main thing for idle speed is your IAC valve, especially if it runs fine off of idle..I would clean it and your throttle body while you are there..

If you have an Autozone store close,They will usually pull the codes for you for free..make sure to have them check current and history codes and write them down on a piece of paper..ie p0302,ect..(be nice to them, most of them think they are full blow diagnostic techs,LOL...just agree whith whatever they say and get those codes written down!..and don't buy anything from them, tell them you will be back..LOL)

possible TPS code can cause idle problems,so get that code(s) pulled to point you in right direction.
