96 tacoma stuck in posi
I have a 96 tacoma with locking hubs and a pushbutton for posi traction. I used this feature while pulling a log in reverse. After I finished I unlocked my hubs and turned off the switch for posi but my rear tires are still in posi .I have tried to turn the switch on and off, lock and unlocked the hubs went forward and back several times but I still can not free the posi. What do I try next???

Maybe...
When you say you turned on "posi" do you mean you turned on the the "RR Diff Lock" switch? Most people just call it a locker. How far did you drive before you knew it wasn't disengaging? read this. Give that a shot and let us know if it doesn't fix your problem.

Positraction is what Chevy called in place of LSD. LSD =/= locker.
Anyway, is the "RR Rear Diff Lock" light still on when you try to turn it off? Maybe try tapping the locker actuator with a rubber mallet?

if ya haven't used the locker in a long time, or first time, they may
have a problem going in and coming out of lock.
bang on it with a hammer may work, stick it on jack stands so you can
work the wheels by hand and hear it pop
if it does come out, all you gotta do it use it a bunch of times and it will
loosen up and work better
some days my locker engages immediately, some days it takes a little fidgeting
both locking and unlocking. as I used it more and more it got faster and easier
