96-98 and 99-02 Grill Guard Mounts the Same?
I am thinking of purchasing Nrgetic99's 99-02 grill guard and I was wondering if the mounts from a 99-02 are the same as the 96-98, can anyone confirm this?

Yeah the part that juts out to go around the nose of the new Runners won't look right on the 96-98 ones. Take a closer look at the front and you will see what i mean.

I know that the bumper on 99-02 4Runner stick out further but what I know is the grill guard going to fit on to the 96-98 mounting points even though the grill guard is going to stick out a bit.

you mean you know it won't fit properly but you are wondering if the miss-fit will look okay enough to get by?
must be a good deal!
i would bag it and get something that is made to fit your vehicle.
it will be stronger, look better, and in the long run you will be happier.
