96 4runner in CO good buy?

Hey all - need your advice in this - I've been looking for a 4runner and saw this ad in yahoo, located in Aurora, CO.

1996 TOYOTA 4RUNNER LTD, 4x4, 160k miles, 6cyl, auto, CD, airbags, fully loaded, leather int, good condition, rear locker, 1 year warranty, $9000, Irbis Inc, 720-838-1037, dlr.

Anyone know this? Or seen it already? The rear locker is pretty interesting but for the price, maybe I could find a cheaper one elsewhere and install the locker myself?

Anyway, opinions welcome - good and bad. I live about 4 hours away right now so the phone will have to suffice for information right now. What should I ask when I call?

Thanks in advance!
Kevin

Now this is a great buy. granted it is more than 4 hours from you, but The price is retarded and I can't believe it is still around.

It is also a good example of why to keep shopping.
Good luck

I agree w/ FilthyRich, my '95 has 155k on it - maybe try and work the price down.

A bit more $$, but check this one out: http://denver.craigslist.org/car/86395680.html

The guys name is Oleg he is on the board and several others. Him and his brother are from russia and have a body shop. they do that and alot of Toyota conversions, they can take any body you want a put it on the later 4runners with the 3.4 drive train, he offered to do it for my 90. They are good guys and the 4runners he is selling are in good cond and he has 2-3 of them when i was over there. i did buy a 22re off him and have had no problems with it. If i had the $$ i would not hesatate to buy one from him.
Call him because it would be worth seeing.

$9000 is way too much for that vehicle.

Yeah, I hears ya! I think so too, but since it's a dealer, I figured the price was inflated anyway. Maybe? What would be a good price? I like what it has on it...but what's it worth?

Thanks for the links, btw to other 4runners. Nice, but out of my price range ($6-8k)

Cheers,
Kevin

Run KBB, NADA, and search Cars.com and Autotrader. Put them all together and average the price out. Off the top of my head, $7500 - $8000 would be about right for that vehicle with ALL receipts and it being in excellent condition.
