91 runner question.

My sis has a 91 4runner...

her spare is underneath not a rear tire carrier...

why is there 4 lights in the back? 2 normal ones and 2 on the tailgate?

and is there any cargo area cover you can get like on my 3rd gen? i see the rear seatbelts might get in the way, just wondering if anyone got one to work?

Got a pick of this? I thought the 91's only had backup lights on the tailgate, not next to the license plate.

I was thinking of this also. The seat belts shouldn't have a bearing on it, you still need a little space on the sides so it doesn't bind, anyway. I think the issues you'll have is how to have it hook in somewhere when extended (Not sure I remember how the 3rd Gens work - my JGC has one and the area to hook it is molded into the side panels)

90 and 91 are the same arent they? hmm, mine is underneith and the back up lights are beside the license plate, but i know the ones with tires on the back, they are on the actual tailgate.

My guess is that it came with the rear tire mount and the original owner had the carrier removed and the tire place under the carriage. As for the cover, I have never seen one advertized for the 2nd Gen.

P.S. I like your avatar, what mountain is that in the background?

The Pic was from a Greenwater Run June 7th Run...

The mountain is Mt Ranier... which I miss Dearly.... I live up in Marysville... and last night when I went to Bonney Lake, I saw it close again, and it reminded me how I missed the view...

Yeah, I love coming up the hill into Bonnny Lake and seeing Rainier emerging right at you.
