89 toy 2wd pu
I did some searches for info on an 2wd 89 toyota pu and found very little information. Am I looking on the wrong board? I bought this truck from my dad and is really good shape expect for a little rust. Also, looking under the body it looks as if the stock shocks are about to rust apart. I don't need anything special just something that would be similar to oem. Are these very difficult to replace? Do I need to have an alignment done afterwards? Thanks in advance.

rust is a common issue and quite easy to replace, shocks are also very easy to replace. you do not need an alignemnt performed for changing hte shock.... what kind of info do you need? i am an 85 4x2 truck, and the design of the 4x2 trucks was the same from 84-95 mechanically speaking with only a few different things going on...

Any particular size or do I just go into Autozone, tell them what I have and bam, new shocks? Any recomendations, either to do or not to do?

oem size..... no reason to get anything else unless you are lifted or lowered....
dont get teh $15 specials... i have them on my truck, up front, they suck.... better than blown shocks but not very comfortable at all... look to spend about $30 a shock for decent ones....
