86 IFS 4Runner shock recommendations
I'm looking for shocks for my stock height 86 4Runner. Although I'd like some Bilsteins, I've heard great things about Edelbrock shocks.
My question is what is the difference between Edelbrock twin tube and mono-tube shocks performance wise?
The reason I ask is Sumittracing has the twin tube shocks for $25 a shock, that seems too good to be true for a performance shock.
Anyone have either the twin tube or mono-tube Edelbrock IAS shocks?
I suspect that people rave about the ~$80 each mono-tube Edelbrocks, but what about these $25 twin tube Edelbrocks?

Not sure of the difference, but in general, you get what you pay for.
I was very happy with the ride on my '91 Xcab using Doeschtech shocks from Downey offroad. They sent me stiffer shocks for the front and softer units for the rear, and it totally evened out the ride.
On the Edelbrock shocks, my guess is you've heard good things about the high dollar shock, the velocity sensitive units. I think there are shocks out there for less money that will do just as well. Good luck!
