I'd do it even if I wasn't doing an SAS. It would be a good source for one.

My brother in law buys trucks like that for parts for about 200-250 bucks. But that one sounds in a little better shape. You can sell the engine, tranny, rear end, for 100-250 bucks a piece in a trading post. And a SAS is well worth it. He has made good money off these trucks and has 3 SAs waiting to be put in other trucks. Buy it.

$350 is money well spent with something like that. you could probably get that money out of the rear axle and transmission if you wanted, not to mention if the motor runs well it won't be too hard to sell.
has the small truss on the front axle, 3.90(yuck) gears, most likely L45 or L50 iron gearbox and a top shift transfer case.
