5VZFE Flywheel install - manual trans

I have a '96 5VZFE from a Taco that I am going to install into a '94 4runner. The motor did not have a flywheel installed when I bought it. I got a new/reman flywheel with the motor. The '96 FSM has minimal info about the flywheel installation. In the section regarding transmissions there is some mention of "front and rear carriers" used to attach the flywheel to the crank. I came across this page and I printed it out. Now I can't find the page, or the printout. I can't find an exploded view of the assembly. Page CL10 has the closest thing I could find. The motor was and will be attached to a manual transmission.

I have the motor, a flywheel, and a new set of flywheel bolts. What am I missing, if anything?

Do I just bolt it up and and torque it down to spec?

What is the torque spec?

Thanks for the help.

USE some Lock-Tight--always used it for my clutch/tranny jobs--imagine those bolts coming loose for whatever reason and then slicing through the bell housing and then maybe the trans tunnel.....Not trying to be dramatic but it happen to my old boss

Sounds like you got everything. There should be 8 bolts for the flywheel and each one gets torqued to 63 ft-lbs on install. Also be sure you install a new pilot bearing before the flywheel goes on and use a tiny bit of loctite on each bolt to ensure they don't back out after torquing.

1996 Tacoma FSM, Page EG92, bottom of the page, reads as follows -

begin quoted text>>>

18. A/T:
INSTALL DRIVE PLATE
(a) Apply adhesive to 2 or 3 threads of the mount bolt end.

(b) Install the front spacer, drive plate, and rear spacer on the crankshaft.

(c) Install and uniformly tighten the 8 mount bolts in several passes, in the sequence shown.

19. M/T:
INSTALL FLYWHEEL (See procedure step 18)

<<< end quoted text

I don't have any spacers. What do they look like? Does anyone have part numbers?
