5VZ-FE Valve Springs Coming soon....

After a couple mths of research (took a while with the cam development going on at the same time) i have finally got a new line of valve springs that will be made for the 5vz-fe units.


Problem:
The tension on the stock valve springs are indeed the weakest link of the 5vz valve train and the stock lift. Doubting it will run passed 6k rpm at all and thats N/A only...over 10+ psi that number drops to the stock redline!
The stock springs at the STOCK lift is VERY close to coil bind, my cams brings it a bit closer but is good for stock applications. (any future higher lift cams will need aftermarket valve springs for sure as well as people who want jhigh HP/boost)

Its a surprise how close we are to valve float with even just the S/C running above stock psi


Solution:
With these valve springs you will be able to run higher lift cams and crazy boost without a worry! There also a bit lighter which when equipped with other, soon to be brought up, valvetrain products you will have a high rpm ready head setup

The first set is on its way and pricing details soon to come!

Cams, Valve springs....and wont stop there!

A high-rpm engine condition in which the valve lifters lose contact with the cam lobes because the valve springs are not strong enough to overcome the momentum of the various valve train components. The onset of valve float prevents higher-rpm operation. Extended periods of valve float will damage the valve train.

So Johnny, with you on the heals of releasing the new cams for sale, then will these springs be a "recommendation" or "you need these like you need fuel upgrades" when using the cams on an S/C'd engine?

Mark,
If you plan to stick to near stock numbers with the s/c (psi wise) then the stock springs are alright....in my mind...the guys who make these springs are not really on my side about it tho as they say the stock spring is a bit on the softer side, but there are tons of us with S/C's now and no issues in regards to that.

After looking at some specs tho....with these cams the springs would be nice.
Along with shimless bucks which i should have my hands on soon enough
