4wd shifter extension?

i just got a 1.5 inch body lift on my 2002 4runner, and now the 4wd shift lever on the inside sits kinda low. anyone know where i could get an extension for this?

I'm guessing you will need to remove the shifter and have an extention welded in.

~ I'm already worried about this for my truck...

I would just goto a machine shop and see if they can just make a 1.5 inch bar to be welded in. I can take a picture of the bars that came with my kit since it wont be going on for about another week or two. Just lemme know. Might want to talk to Roger Brown he might have something for ya, I think he makes short shift kits for the 4wd shifter.

If it helps my 3" PA Bodylift says to hacksaw the shifters in half near the bottom and weld a extention bar. See attached:

My transfer case shifter looks like the one in your diagram. The one that he has is way shorter and looks like the knob is held on with a screw. The basic principal of that diagram should work but you need to take the boot off so we can see the bottom for sure.

Yeah I was going to link to it but I couldn't find it as quickly as I thought I could, plus I figured someone would chime in.

I would say leave it as it is... as long as you can still shift into 4by, then leave her be!
