Hey guys,

I've got a couple quick questions about 4WD and such.

I had the ADD setup on my rig, but have since converted to manual hubs. With the ADD setup, the front axle shafts are constantly turning, right? So, when you covert to manual hubs, the front axleshafts no longer turn? I am talking about in two wheel drive mode right now.

Alright...so when you lock your manual hubs, you are locking your hubs to your axleshafts, right?

So, my last questions is this - why would the front axleshafts turn with the ADD setup, but not with manual hubs? It seems to me that the differential would cause the axleshafts to turn, not the hubs?

Anyway, I hope my questions were somewhat clear. I'm just trying to make sure I completely understand how everything works. Thanks for the feedback guys-

With your manual hubs locked, there is no difference between the ADD setup and manual hubs. Everything is freewheeling in the front end until you shift into 4Hi.

By setting manual hubs to free, the wheels spin on their own. Only shifting into 4wd will make the front diff turn.

With ADD, the front axles turn becuase they are connected to the wheels, not the diff. The wheels are making the front axles turn with in 2wd with ADD.

Hope I cleared it up. I think I confused myself now...
