I had to remove my rear resonator this past week, since I keep messing my exhaust up. Hollister was the final straw.

So this past week I had it removed and some of the bend pipe replaced. I asked the guy at the shop to take it out on the side behind the rear mudflap, hopefully out of harms way now. Not to get too fancy I just had them put on a chrome tip, so at least it looks somewhat finished. I noticed a somewhat louder idle and a little more noise than normal. Today while driving on the highway I noticed it did have a bit of a drone below 2k RPM when I coast on the highway.

The rest of the system is completely stock.

Now question is how do I get it quiet? Is there a very small resonator (no longer than 10" and no bigger than 4" diameter) that I can put in place of the chrome tip that will bring noise and note back to stock sound?

Any of you guys that modded your 4th Gen V8, what was your experience? I would like to make it silent not violent (OK real bad poetry, dont throw rotten tomoatoes)
