4runner heart failure
Looking for some sympathy guys my 96 4runner overheated due to the radiator core falling apart (BE WARNED) cooked the engine & cracked the cylinder head now requires head, gaskets, radiator, cam belt, etc etc

Me Crazy! Never i just like to drive cars, good news is the parts arrive tomorrow (Thurs) up to £1800 so far and thats just parts!!! :pat: good job the labour is free, thats down to me and a good male friend

No warning at all!!!! the temp gauge got hotter than normal but at no time did it reach the red!! still she overheated. Personally i blame the radiator on inspection the engine side of it is missing cooling veins

Do you have an electric or engine driven fan, and if the viens were missing, wasn't the coolant low? Did it even HAVE coolant? There's nothing better than the occasional visual inpection to find such things BEFORE major damge is done!

Yes PY the fluid was full!!! & checked that DAY! I may be Crazy but im not Male!! the cooling veins "AIR" conducting were crumbling and falling out the fluid/liquid veins remained intact

Why thank you you little devil you! Its nice to be able to play again, she was only down 4 days but it felt like ages, hope she behaves now:beach: i cant afford any more bills like this one

Yeah, I can sympathize with you about the bills...I am rather broke right now. But I have to buy another freakin ABS Relay cause mine is shot.
