Please note the fuel and timing needs must be and were addressed in that build, something that is sold in kit form for the 5vzfe, but would have to be custom for your 3vze. You might even have to completely bypass the 3vze ECU and old style VAFM for a custom ECU and MAF. Also I'm sure you've heard the head gaskets on a 3vze are already a weak link and forced induction would only make that problem worse. You'll probably find some other weak links too (such as the pitifully small exhaust valves on the 3vze).
EDIT: Looks like the server for that link is down right now, but it is a good link.

Thanks mt goat. i don't suppose you know anything about that Grand National Turbo and conquest Intercooler that someone used on the Pirate 4x4 forum? would that be a cheape route than the link you sent me? cause with all the old cars down here, i might have better chance of finding a cheap one and rebuilding it. and what all would i have to do? since i'm a newbie at turbos, what do i hook the turbo to? and the intercooler, where does that hook into? Any and all help is muchly appreciated. it would be much cheaper for me to Turbo my 3VZE than finish paying off the 1KZ-TE and intercooler.

Do you guys have 5vzfe's down there?
I say this, because a 5vzfe swap is a much better upgrade. Turbo'ing the 3vze is just not worth the time and money. You would have to upgrade too much stuff to make it realiable. And NOTHING is going to bolt right up, everything will have to be custom fabricated, and something tells me your not a fabricator. The 5vzfe is a MUCH better powerplant. Even after a turbo on a 3vze, you would probably be around the stock power of a 5vzfe. Just doesnt make sense to turbo the 3vze.
Now, if you were a turbo guy that knew what he was doing, had good fab skills, and parts laying around, then it might be a worthwile upgrade.
And I dont want to be mean, but if you don't know where a turbo and intercooler hooks up to, you have no business trying to make a custom turbo setup on your truck. You know the old saying, "if you have to ask......."
