3vze injector performance at 258,000 miles.....results!

Brought to you by Cruzin Performance, I called inquired, shipped, and here were the results for my injectors! They will be back this wednesday, and Richard Jensen RULES!! And from what I've seen thus far, I HIGHLY recommend his services! (Yes mods, I paid for services rendered.)

Anyhow here are the results - keep in mind I try to only use cheveron supreme (engine pings if lower octane is used) and for a while I went heavy on the pour in injector cleaners with my old plugs. (since then my truck has not seen an injector cleaner in about 20,000miles or so...)

Leak down test is watching for the injectors leaking when closed - if that were happening it would contribute to a rich condition. Spray pattern is fairly obvious.

Static and pulsed are constant flow and interrupted flow respectively. This is done for each injector 1 - 6.

Then they perform their service and retest them. That's what im showing.

How does that improve your gas mileage? What are you getting now?

So from my layman reading of those tests, it looks like you didn't really need to have them cleaned. But what do I know about it.

Never said a thing about improving mileage - I just needed em cleaned for peace of mind since I'm at 258,000 miles and I had the plenum off. The injectors wont be here till wednesday

I came to the same conclusion - they didnt need the cleaning, but they all are flowing more and are closer to equal now, so that can't be a bad thing. lol

Regardless of if they needed it or not I would have done the same thing at that mileage.
They did come out very even after the cleaning.

My question now is how much and what brand of injector cleaner were you using. I noticed you said "heavy", can you try to quantify that? Thanks

It is very impressive how good your injectors tested after all those miles. If I don't run sea foam through mine once a month it bucks like a bronco

How quickly did they get to your injectors?

Erich
