3VZ-E Exhaust replacement
Hey guys, my exhaust is getting to the point to where it needs to be replaced.
My truck has the original OEM exhaust and I would like to open it up and make it 'burble' a little bit. What is a good combination for the 3vz-e engine? I'm not looking to put headers and a whole lot of extras on there that cost too much. I'm looking to have an exhaust note that is not too annoying yet when I get on it the exhaust will sound good.
I was thinking that I'd go with the stock diameter piping from the cat back to the muffler and then widen that up a little bit. I'd like to have dual exhaust, but that's not in my budget right now. SI/SO would be just fine with me.
Flowmaster? MagnaFlow? Glasspack? CherryBomb? Borla?
What's the consensus on your opinions?

I've heard the Jardine cat-back is good. I think you can get it from truckperformance.com. I wouldn't open the exhaust up too much as it will kill your'e torque.

That's what I'm trying to avoid is killing my torque. The 3.slow is bad enough as it is and I would like to keep that low-end as much as possible, especially because I don't rev over 3500 RPM's.
I'm going to go check that exhaust page and see what there is for information there.
Thanks fellas.

I bought a flowmaster off of Ebay for $60 shipped to me. I've dealt with the seller a few times so I know he is a good seller. Then I payed a local muffler shop $100 to weld up 2.5" pipe cat back with the muffler. So I got my exhaust done for $160 and a little bit of time. I'm very happy with the rumble and if you don't want it as loud the seller has 50 series as well. I believe his name was Jon3x, just look up flowmaster on Ebay and you will find him. Good luck.

I had the local exhaust shop put a high flow cat on mine with a normal muffler and it helped. A little less back pressure and still maintaining my torque. It sounds a little throaty, but not obnoxious.

Thanks for the help guys. I was a lil apprehensive about going with Flowmaster as they are generally designed for V8's in mind. I had a Flowmaster on my Miata and it was great, but that's a totally different engine. I think that's what I'm going to go with is the Flowmaster 50 series.
