Are 3VZ and 5VZ MT bellhousings the same?
Im sorry if my question is stupid but im a newB here. I have been lurking for a while and I know there is a LOT of info on here about swaps but, I havent found this exact info.
I guess maybe this is a question for the taco guys since they had the 3.0L 3VZ-FE engines right?
Basically I want to know if the 5VZ and 3VZ engines have the same bolt pattern on the block and are there ppl who have done this swap before?

Tacos had the 3.4L 5VZ-FE not the 3.0L 3VZ-FE which was used in camry's, 2nd gen 4runners (90-95) had the 3.0L 3VZ-E.
All VZ engines have the same bell housing patter on the block(I know this for sure on the 5VZ-FE and 3VZ-E, 99% sure on the 3VZ-FE).
Hope this helps and doesnt confuse you!

Thanks a LOT. The reason I ask is because I want to bolt the 5VZ-Fe to a ST183,ST184 or perhaps a beefed up S54 transmission. I know for a fact that the 3VZ-FE bolts directly to those two transmissions (I have seen it in person) so I just want to be sure before I drive across town and buy this hulk.
914runner, how difficult was the fuel settup to hook up to your rig for your 5VZfe? What fittings did you need?

You got me. I have just bought a 5vzfe that I will be rebuilding. I have a buddy who has already installed a 3VZ-FE in a MR2 and it fits perfectly(aside from a minor axel modification). I was hopeing i could get away with some more information before somebody found me out
You guys are THE source for info for yota V6 engines so I was hopeing you wouldent mind my annoying questions. I promise I will post all my results including dyno numbers from HP adders. I have also been considering a 4runner to pull my beast to and from events. So, I guess I will have a rig soon to ask all kinds of questions about too.

I took the end that bolts to the hard line from my truck and the engine end from the 5VZ-FE to a hose maker and he made me a hose that was the right length. Cost me like $20 or $30 I think.
