3rd gen Window problem

Just in the past week or so, I've had 3 instances where my driver side window doesn't want to work. It won't go down, and it won't go up, however, it doesn't take long for it to finally kick in and start working fine again. Also, it's ONLY the driver side front window. Every other window functions just fine.

Any idea what the cause of this might be? Maybe the wire isn't connected real snug or something? I plan on checking it out later, but just wondering what the cause might be.

I'm no expert in power windows, but it sounds like dirty/corroded contacts in the switch. Has it had any kind of liquid get in/on it lately? Or even just dust/dirt, whatever. It could also just be wearing out, the driver's side getting, overall, much more use than the others. Just a few thoughts...

Actually, you are probably pretty much right on. I recently just got back from the Outer Banks, so obviously my truck saw a lot of time on the beach, thus sand and whatever else may have made it's way in there.

I guess I could try to get one of those pressurized air cans and try to spray around that area.

Thanks...I'm betting that's probably the reason for the whole problem.

Salt air a REALLY harsh on electriclas, too. If the contacts were getting close to failure due to corrosion or use, then I'd bet the salt air out there on the beach has pretyt much finished the job. I don't know if it's feasable, but a quick-fix until you can get a replacement might be to swap teh switch out with one from another window...
