3rd Gen Stats

Hey, i just got that dyno scan tool for the palm OS. i was wondering if anyone knew all of the stats for the 3rd gen, such as drag coefficient and frontal area. I think the drag is .4, but im not sure. Also if anyone knows the gear ratio. it a 4x4 btw.

You might try deleting this post and reposting it with a different name that has a better description of what you are looking for. I think MTL_4Runner knows all about the Palm stuff.

EDIT: I see he chimed in!!!

Hey David,

Just saw you got the auterra unit so congrats!

Anyway there has been some debate over what exactly the CD should be.
My best guess would be 0.39 to 0.40 (either would be fine)

As for frontal area, you should measure the outside width and height of the main cabin body.
The multiply the numbers for area (makes sure to convert inches to feet first)
If you want to be really exact, add the tire and side mirror projections too.

The gear ratio can be found by the gear ratio program menu.
Just input tire data and compute diameter.
Then put the truck in the gear you want to measure and go.
Hit the measure button and voila....gear ratio to go!

I am not sure how accurate the Dyno numbers are vs a real RWHP dyno.
Should be at least in the ballpark and it can certainly be used for comparison (ie a before and after)
