3rd Gen Side Step Bars

Anyone know of a good place to order side step bars for a 97 4runner? I live out in Hawaii so shippings a bitch. I was quoted $250 and am looking for something cheaper for I am a cheap ass. If you guys have ideas let me know. Mahalos

are you looking for nerf bars? Why not just get OEM running boards?

Forana,

I'd first do an advanced search on ebay for a local seller in HI. I believe the 00-02s have the side step bars. Or you can make one from Xterra step tubes like i did: http://www.4runners.org/articles/steps

The other option woudl be to have a local welder make you some sliders. One of the members here in CA had a local guy make his for about $150. So maybe there's a guy in your area who can fab something up.
