Does anyone know the max angle for the Front CV on a tacoma 3.4? There is a mod to increase the angle of a drive shaft. Is there anything like this to increase the angle of the front CV or maybe replace the CV with a different CV from a vendor or different generation? (Other than the TC suspension upgrade)

The maximum angle would come in handy for someone lifting their truck...I would think. Trying to keep cost down for a cheap ass like me.

Okay, how do you guys with over 3" lift on the 3rd gens get the flex you need for the CV on 4WD models? IS there another way besides SAW? Help me out here guys? I want the lift, but not the headache.

I think if you do a differential drop it will help get the cv back to a better angle. Also sway bar disconects for a little more travel.

Isn't there a bracket available for the diff drop. I'm not talking about the spacer kit, but a bracket witha radius going around the diff I believe. I know there is something like that available, but I can't find it. Any tips or suggestions?

You have these options:

1) Coilovers (Adjustable height 0-3")
2) Spacers which preload the coil (1-3")
3) Top out spacers which go ontop of the coil (.5-1")
4) Drop-bracket type lift (4-10")

I think you're talking about the drop bracket type lifts...I have the Trailmaster 6" lift. It basically drops your front diff. and rack and pinion down about 4".

There is a few companies which make these types of lifts: Tuff Country 5" (best IMO), Fabtech 6" (Expensive but nice), ProComp 4" (eh, its okay?) and the Trailmaster 6" (I like it!).

They all use the drop bracket but use different stuff to lift the front end and take care of the geometry of the suspension.

The stock geometry is actually achieved with these types of lifts which is desirable. I have a stock ride feel. What else I think is nice is that the A-Arms are stock position to maintain the hgihest amount of travel. Coil-overs and spacers push the A-arm down and use your downtravel to equate to lift.

You have a very nice looking truck and the lift is perfect for what I'm looking for. What lift do you have? How many lifts did you go through before you were happy? What size tires are you running? I want to stuff 33 under there. I only want to spend money on 1 lift so, any help or advice I can get is appreciated.
