3rd Gen control arm bushing kit?
Is there some kind of replacement bushing kit for my 97 4R? I want to replace all the control arm bushings as well as the steering rack mount bushings. Are there any others I should do at the same time? What type are the best? Where can I get them?

I have used the Energy Suspension bushing kits and really liked them. I did the sway bar ends, sway bar mounts, bump stops and the steering rack bushings. All are easy to do and are polyeurethane so they will last a lot longer than the stock rubber ones. Most auto parts stores can order any kit you need. Daystar also makes them and are really the same as the Energies. I just checked the Performance Products web site and they have the Daystars. You'll have to call though because they are not showing for the 4Runners but I'd bet they have them. I know for sure that 4Wheel Parts has Energy Suspensions.

I would not rate the steering rack bushings as easy. I have done two sets on two different 4Runners, and both times it has been a major pain. The tolerences are so tight that getting everything to fit becomes an experience.
Yes, it is technically easy - but actually getting them in place and everything bolted down is a major ordeal. I turn a pretty good wrench and the last set took me about 3 hours. Also, some 4Runners may have been previously aligned with the old rack bushings in place, causing your steering wheel to be off-center after the new poly bushings are installed. So an alignment is sometimes necessary.

Thanks for the info guys. I'll look into a kit. I forgot about the swaybar, but I'd like to change them all.

......but was well worth it!

I can speak for the steering rack: yes, it firms up the steering feel quite a bit. It's a great mod if you have the patience and tools for it. 
I have endlink poly on my front sway and I didn't really notice a difference.
