I had Husky floor mats in my '94 and loved them. What are the best fitting plastic/rubber mats available for the 3rd gen 4Runners?

I have the tan/oak interior, BTW.

Catch-all mats are great! They match your interior pretty well and you can spray them out with water.

money-no-object... catch-alls.
budget friendly... heavy-duty, nice-and-deep, can-hold-1-gallon-of-water rubber mats from walmart or Sam's club (I have these, I love them).

I went through two sets of the Toyota Oak colored rubber all-weather mats before pulling the trigger on a front set of Husky 'Liners'. The Toyota mats would break where my heel rested, allowing water and dirt to sift through to the carpet. The Husky liners have taken everything that I've dished out and have yet to crack or leak in any fashion. They certainly are not the prettiest to look at, but my carpeting looks showroom new after nearly 100,000 miles.

I purchased a tan Husky liner for the cargo area the same day that I purchased the truck and it has been worth absolutely every penny. It is pretty scarred up from loads and loads of luggage, bricks, lawn equipment, building supplies, etc, etc. The nice embroidered '4Runner' cargo mat underneath looks brand new. I just ordered a set of tan Husky liners for the rear seats today. Every week or so when I wash the truck, I pop the Huskies out and scrub them clean. Perfect.

It was kinda hard to justify spending over $200 on floor mats, but I think the protection is worth it.

Husky...probably the best investment I made so far on the truck. First year EVER that none of my carpets had salt n' slush stains on the carpets. They are worth the money.

Is it overblown to mention that I too love my Husky mats?

I scoffed at paying "that much" for mats, but my friend Funrunner convinced me. Highly recommended.

i have two sets of 4Runner mats;the carpeted ones for summer and the rubber for the winter but the Husky versions would be much better for winter use. I do have a Husky mat protecting the rear area.

wow, it's unusual to see such agreement among an internet community! Since I loved the fitment and durability of the Husky's in my '94, I will order the same for the 4Runner.

Next question, has anyone rubberized the seatbacks? It would be nice to have the same protection when the rear seats are folded down.

btw, i'm gonna give support to the toyota rubber mats. i've had them for a couple years or so and they've held up quite nicely.

i have huskys too...

except i got mine off of ebay used. they were for a 2004 taco d-cab and fit the front of my runner nearly perfect. the back is a little different near the doors, but not bad at all. i got tan, and it matches well and looks good w/ the tan interior. i picked up the front/back set for about $60 and i'm very happy w/ them.

for the rear cargo area, i just too the OEM mat and flipped it over so the rubber is up and the carpet is down. works good and has protected the carpet from stains.

I've had the grey Huskys in the front for 6 years or so - no complaints.
They've protected the carpet from a lot of spilled cokes (*grumbles about passengers*).

Someday I'll get the rear seat liners and the cargo area.... but thats $$ that can be put into other things

hey, I was at lowes the other day, and passed by the sheetmetal isle. They have that diamond plating, maybe you could bend it to fit the seat backs, you could even paint it if its too shiny. Or use truck bed liner. That sure would be durable. Just an idea
