I suspect my idler pulley has died and I cannot get the thing off for the life of me.

Pulled the nut and the cup off the front, backed the adjustment bolt all the way out and I was thinking it would just slide off. It doesn't. Tried prying a bit. Still nothing.

Anything I am missing? Pissing me off cause it seems so basic.

Did you try something like PB Blaster or other penetrating oil on it? Maybe a bit of rust is hanging it up.

What idler pulley exactly are you referring too?

Sorry ac idler.

Anyway, just for future searchers, the bearing melted and bonded to the back and I had to use a pickle fork to get it loose. Took some good blows just for note.

Now, anyone know the part number from napa for a new one? Off to search.

I believe it's generically known as a 6301-2RS/C3 bearing from the empty box in my parts box. Napa may have it and often motorcycle repair places have it.

Here the writer suggests looking on the bearing for the number when he was doing his ac pulley:

HMMM....I wonder if this it. Koyo is an OE supplier to Toyota.

This is it but I can't wait till delivery. I'll have to suck it up and pay the $23 to autozone for a new bearing and pulley.

Did you try to get just the bearing? It's easy to replace and far cheaper than $23.
