anyone else have this setup? Ive never had a lifted truck with stock gearing before. While going down the road @ 55 and hit a long slight incline i have to down shift from 5th to 4th to pull it.It drops speed quick.. Does that sound normal?

I have a '96 now with stock 4.30's, 35's and an auto. It's not so bad, not bad enough to make me change gears.
I had a '99 5spd 3.4 4x4 with 32's and 3.90 gears, then 4.30 gears and 33's, and finally 4.88's and 33's. The 4.88's and 33's was great-even pulled a 3800 pound camper with the 4runner packed to the roof, roof rack full, 2 coolers, etc. at 70mph on the interstate no problem-it would even pull some hills in 5th like that. The 4.30's and 33's was fine until I hooked that camper behind it-one pull toasted the clutch.
